Questions
How does ordering work?
Each home kitchen cooks a fixed number of plates for each meal and stops taking orders at a cutoff time. Pick a kitchen, add dishes to your cart, choose pickup or delivery, and place your order before the cutoff.
How do I pay?
You pay the cook directly by UPI. Pay half now and the rest when you get your food, or pay in full now. Some kitchens also let you pay everything at handoff. The "Pay with a UPI app" button opens your UPI app with the amount filled in; then enter the 12-digit UTR so the cook can confirm it.
What if I don't pay the advance?
Your plates are held for a short time (30 minutes during the pilot). If the advance isn't paid by then, the order is released so others can order.
Can I cancel or get a refund?
You can cancel before the cook confirms your payment. If a cook cancels or can't cook enough, they refund what you paid. For any problem with an order, open a request on the Help page and we'll sort it out with the kitchen.
Which areas do you serve?
During the pilot we serve Hubballi, within about 15 km of Vidyanagar. Each kitchen also sets how far it delivers; pickup is always an option where the kitchen offers it.
Who are the cooks? Is the food safe?
They are home cooks from your area. Our team checks every cook before their menu goes live. Food businesses in India need FSSAI registration, and we show an FSSAI badge only after we have checked a kitchen's number.
How do I become a cook?
Apply in a few minutes. Once approved, you add your dishes and set your meal times once; your kitchen then opens for orders every day until you pause it. There is no platform fee during the pilot.
